I met Elle at university, funnily enough we were both studying photography, she approached me in 2016 after I photographed one of our friends weddings in Bath, It was a true honour to be asked to capture Elle's wedding day!

The Matara Centre, which lies on the edge of Kingscote Park in rural Gloucestershire, was the venue of choice.   Created around a Grade II listed mansion house, the venue boasts a wide variety of spaces, woodlands and stunning formal gardens.  The Matara Centre is an eclectic, beautiful but slightly different wedding venue. Due to their artsy backgrounds it suited Elle and Nathan perfectly.

Their ceremony was held outside in the venue’s main courtyard.  This is a gorgeous space, with its large pond (complete with Koi) and a myriad of ornate structures and plants.

The crowd then relaxed into the drinks reception- a nice couple of hours where everyone could just chat and mingle before moving onto the meal. The room set up for the meal looked simply stunning and the venue’s own ‘wall of light’ provided the backdrop for the speeches.

Ellen and Nathan's wedding day was a rainy and cold one, but it didn't stop anyone from having a good time! After the meal the fire pit got lit and we warmed up toasting marshmallows. Luckily we spotted a dry spell where we sneaked off into the gardens for a couple of portraits, with the mud it did prove a little tricky.

Here are the pictures that tell their story, enjoy!
